Clinic at Holly Hill Fam in Benton, LA with Karen O’Connor & Max Corcoran

I just returned home from teaching a 4- day clinic with Karen O’Connor at Holly Hill Farm in Benton, LA. It was an honor and a privilege to be asked to step in and teach this clinic of 40 riders with Karen. For several years David and Karen have taught the clinic together but David was unable to be there, so with my past experience of clinics and camps with the OCET Karen asked Tracy Hewlett, the organizer, if it might work if I stepped in!! We all had a great time, Karen and I worked in a cohesive fashion and all the riders learned and had a great time. It was also great because Tracy brought in Max Corcoran, (Karen’s long time groom extraordinaire), and she gave lectures and demonstrations to all of the participants all day as well.
Now, I am home and have hit the ground running of course. I am home for a few days but pack things up to leave on Sunday, June 7th to go teach all week in VA at O’Connor Camp. This provides a great opportunity for my own horses as well as I am able to take them with me and get a few minutes with Karen and David at either end of the day with them. I am home for the weekend of the 13th but then leave again from the 16th through the 21st to fly to Montana to help with one more camp that Amy Tryon, Karen, David, Max and I are teaching. It is being held at Rebecca Farm and I am very excited to have been asked to come out and help teach this too. I have never been to Montana!! Then, I am home for a while, competing and coaching at Champagne Run, Penny Oaks and Hunters Run. Until next time…..
