Monthly Archive for January, 2010

We have arrieved in FL.

Hi all,
Had an uneventful trip to Florida with 6 horses.
Ready, Forli, Slew Boy (Gay Darcie’s horse), Simba, Action, and Amanda, my groom’s horse, Teddy.

We settled in the first couple of days and then I was able to get a lesson with Karen on Simba before she headed to Wellington for a few days of training for herself.

David then gave me a lesson yesterday on Simba and he is continuing his strength and agility training!!

Some of my students from Lexington have made made the trip down with their horses so I have been doing quite a bit of teaching too!!!  A former student, Meg Finn has also been here and she has been great pitching in for barn duties, riding and getting a few lessons in order to refresh herself.

Hope your winter training is going well! I will be home in about a week and a half. See you all for lessons!
Hope all of you are well,

Until next time
Good Luck Look Up and Keep Kicking!!

Off to Florida

Hello ALL! I hope you have recovered from your holiday festivities and are ready to begin your new year! Jess, Lucas, and I had a wonderful Christmas visiting with friends and family and we hope you took some time to do the same.

The temperatures have dropped and I am looking forward to heading to Florida on January 18th. My students have been extremely happy with our new covered arena. With all the moisture we’ve had, the old ring would have been frozen solid. The new ring has made it possible for my students and me to continue to train. I will be heading down to Florida with my new groom/working student, Amanda Volle. She is a current “A” Pony Club graduate from CA. And will arrive at Carriage Station on January 11th. I am excited to have her on board with the CW Event team and I am looking forward to helping her achieve her riding goals as well.

Make sure you look over the calendar so you know when I will be flying into Lexington to teach. I look forward to seeing you all very soon! Check my blog for ALL my Florida updates! Until then, keep kicking.
