We are currently on our way home from The Fork Horse Trials located outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. The CW Event Team had a GREAT weekend. Simba continues to raise his game. He was very strong and confident this weekend.
Simba and I were tied for 5th with a 33.0 after our dressage test on Thursday. On Saturday we show jumped and Simba left all the rails in the cups moving us up to a 3rd place tie. The cross- country course was big and technical as I knew it would be, which is why I choose The Fork Horse Trials to be our last run before the CCI 1* in Ocala. After walking the course, I knew he was ready. We jumped around clean and add only 2.8 time faults to our score. We ended up with a 6th place finish over all.
The CW Event Team has a very busy two weeks ahead. Spring Bay is next weekend where I am riding several horses and coaching. Be sure to call the farm for course walk times. Then, on Monday April 12th the team will be repacked and headed back to Ocala to prepare the CCI horses for their Wednesday in- barns.
